Intertrac Vision Celebrates 10 Years

Marking a decade of data-driven innovation in vessel performance forecasting.

International Marine Coatings marks 10 years of Intertrac Vision
with new forecasting tool updates

International® has announced new updates to its Intertrac® Vision digital forecasting tool, marking ten years since its launch.

The latest enhancements improve usability and deliver deeper insights, supporting shipowners and operators in making more informed coating and maintenance decisions.

Supporting data-driven decisions

Following the expansion of the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) in early 2024 and the implementation of FuelEU regulations in January 2025, ship operators are increasingly seeking accessible, transparent data on fouling control performance.

Intertrac Vision continues to meet this demand, helping users evaluate the commercial and environmental impact of different coating technologies.

Launched in 2015, the tool has supported the selection of fouling control systems that improve efficiency, cut fuel consumption and reduce CO₂ emissions across thousands of vessels worldwide.

What’s new in Intertrac Vision

Smarter collaboration and forecast sharing

  • Users can now share forecasts directly with colleagues.
  • Enables easier collaboration and team-wide review.

Enhanced performance visibility and cost accuracy

  • Clearer interfaces make it faster to analyse coating performance and financial impact.
  • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and drydock costs are now aligned with specific coating schemes and coat numbers for more accurate results.

Improved reporting and financial functionality

  • Performance and TCO reports redesigned for better clarity.
  • ROI and payback time are now displayed in months.
  • Users can add extra cost inputs, such as high-pressure fresh-water washing and application.

These updates give a clearer view of how coating selection affects long-term costs, supporting maintenance planning, drydock scheduling and investment decisions.

Industry recognition at Europort

During Europort 2025, International® celebrated a decade of innovation since the launch of Intertrac Vision and introduced the latest updates to industry representatives.

Dr. Barry Kidd, Vessel Performance Manager at AkzoNobel, said:

“We are celebrating ten years of helping customers make informed, sustainable and data-driven decisions through Intertrac Vision. These enhancements reinforce our commitment to supporting shipowners as they navigate increasing decarbonization and compliance pressures.”
