A decade of partnership with Chantiers de l'Atlantique

Working together to reduce VOC emissions and enhance vessel performance.

International celebrates a decade of partnership with Chantiers de l'Atlantique

We are proud to share a collaboration milestone of a decade of partnership with Chantiers de l'Atlantique (CDA). We are delighted to have supplied International® marine coatings to 20 vessels built at CDA over this duration, that have included the largest luxury cruise vessel as well as several navy vessels, covering around 6 million m² of coatings applied in total.

Driving sustainability together

Key sustainability milestones:

  • Since the partnership began, CDA’s tank coatings were converted from solvent-based to solvent-free systems, resulting in a marked reduction in VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions over the 10-year period.
  • In 2025 alone, International® supported CDA in achieving a 55 percent reduction in VOC emissions through the use of Intershield 300HS anticorrosive.
