They have once more confirmed their entrepreneurial and forward thinking spirit by gaining a new record. The record in question is a 13,500 DWT general cargo vessel built at the La Spezia based shipyard which has been coated with the revolutionary fluoropolymer foul release product Intersleek®900. San Marco are, in fact, the first newbuilding yard in Europe to have applied the product to a general cargo vessel at newbuilding. The vessel adds to the existing fleet managed by the Calderan family, who are also at the head of various maritime companies operating in tug and offshore activities as well as shipbuilding and shipmanagement.

To mark the event, a special commemorative crest was awarded to brothers Gabriele and Davide Calderan, President and Managing Director respectively of the San Marco Shipyard and also of the company Panfido & C. Srl which manage tug services in Venice and Chioggia ports.

Newbuilding CSM 15, which is already afloat at the Shipyard, will be fitted out during the next few months and should be formally consigned and named within the end of the year.
